Data Center Zoning Rules: Public Information Meeting
Date
Time5:30 PM – 7:30 PM Central Time
FormatVirtual

Large data centers use a lot of power and land. In January, the Common Council paused approvals for new ones while City staff write zoning rules for them, because Madison's zoning code had no rules for this kind of building.
On Tuesday, October 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, the City's planning department will present its first draft of those rules online and take questions. The rules will apply across Madison, including near Sprecher East.
How to join: Register on the City's event page to get the Zoom link. Can't make it? The meeting will be recorded and posted on the City's data center page.
What comes next: This meeting is an update. Formal comments come later, when the rules go to City committees and the Council.
